To guarantee that our oils are 100% pure, we work with raw materials from around the world that are produced by suppliers that adhere to our strict quality standards. This ensures that each shipment of raw materials received are high quality essential oils. Because we only use plant based sources grown in areas where these plants are indigenous, variation in lots can occur. These variations are completely normal and are usually caused by climate condition or geographical location. This does not mean that the essential oils lack purity or are of inferior quality. Additionally, our oils are reviewed and tested to ensure they are not adulterated and no genetically modified organisms are added, and are part of our NON-GMO Pledge quality assurance program.
We have a team of expert lab technicians that skillfully test our oils to ensure they meet our purity and quality standards. One of the many testing stages our oils go through is a sophisticated technique called Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) testing. GC/MS is an analytical method that determines the identity of different components in a test sample. GC and MS are two components that, when tested together, have an increasingly high degree of compound identification. When an essential oil is tested using this method, the composition of the oil is displayed so each component can be identified individually. If an essential oils’ result does not meet our purity standard, that lot is rejected. This guarantees that each oil meets our high standards and is accurately labeled with the correct botanical name so you know which plant species you are getting.
By following the Current Good Manufacturing Practices for Dietary Supplements, 21 CFR Part 111 (cGMP), we guarantee that our manufacturing process is clean, safe, and 100% compliant with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s strict standards. The cGMP requirements guarantee the monitoring and controlling of all the manufacturing processes, including ingredients. This practice also outlines the requirements for sanitation, personal hygiene, recordkeeping, packaging and labeling operations, and more. At Nature’s Truth®, you can trust our label. Our strict quality assurance protocols ensure that our products are exactly what they say they are.
