DIY Moisturizing Lotion Bars

Love your skin!

Our easy to make lotion bars are exactly what your skin needs to stay nourished and moisturized.  Lotion bars are an easy alternative to your normal skin moisturizer.  Customize this DIY using your favorite single Nature’s Truth Essential oil or make a blend of your own.

Materials

  • ¼ cup Almond Base Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Organic Coconut Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Beeswax
  • 1 tablespoon Shea, Cocoa, or Mango Butter
  • 12 drops of your favorite Nature’s Truth Essential Oil(s)

Steps

  1. Combine all ingredients—except essential oils—in a double boiler. If you don’t have a double boiler, use a glass bowl over a small sauce pan of water. Heat the water to boiling, stirring the ingredients until melted.
  2. Remove from heat. Add essential oils, stirring well.
  3. Carefully pour mixture into molds. We recommend using silicon molds for making small, fun-shaped bars! You can also use baking cups, or pour into a cake pan that you can cut squares into after the mixture has hardened.
  4. Let cool overnight. Pop the bars out of the molds, and enjoy your new homemade lotion bar! These make wonderful gifts!
